Introduction
I’m Rochelle Crowley - a teacher, literacy enthusiast and mum of 3 who could never quite leave teaching behind!
Throughout high school, all I wanted to do was teach. So, against everyone’s advice that's exactly what I did. I completed my Diploma of Teaching, Bachelor of Education followed by a Master of Education then spent years in the classroom doing what I loved most - helping children learn to read. I especially loved and still love my time teaching kindergarten - so much fun and laughter - while also discovering just how powerful those early years are for sparking a love of books and building the foundations for lifelong learning.
Like many, my life then took a few unexpected twists. I found myself immersed in education technology, which then led to a long stint in the corporate world working long hours, leading big projects and climbing that corporate ladder. While I enjoyed the corporate world and its perks, no matter how far I moved physically from the classroom, my heart never left. Throughout all the years of my own children's education I have stayed deeply involved tutoring those in need, never losing my passion for how children grow, learn, and thrive.
Now that my own children are close to finishing school, I have come full circle. Little Twists is a return to what I love: helping young children build the skills and confidence they need to start school strong and read for both enjoyment and success.
Through personalised, one-on-one sessions, I weave together the key strands of reading — phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension — to help each child become a confident, capable reader. Every session is tailored to your child’s unique learning style to ensure steady progress they will be proud of.
Reading isn’t just a skill — it’s a superpower. And every child deserves to feel like a hero when they unlock it!
